EXPERIENCE GET OUT TO STAY OUT RE-ENTRY SERVICES
Get Out To Stay Out is a non-profit organization that provides comprehensive re-entry services for individuals recently released from a South Carolina prison or detention center. Our program assists participants with reinstating their voting rights, connecting with second-chance employers, affordable housing, and entrepreneurship development, which ultimately increases their chances of stability. Our organization work with local non-profit organizations around the State of South Carolina, with one common goal, reducing recidivism.
Get Out To Stay Out also provides voter registration, civics, and financial literacy resources which are all needed to be successful before or after release.
GET OUT TO STAY OUT AT A GLANCE
Get Out To Stay Out re-entry case managers work with staff inside the correctional institutions as well as the Bureau of Federal Prisons to meet with inmates nearing release within six (6) to twelve (12) months. Our team works with inmates and former offenders to identify areas of need and an action plan to eliminate potential barriers to success. Once released, clients meet with a case manager and begin working their action plan. Eligible participants receive assistance with referrals for clothing, food, employment, financial literacy, and housing.
COUNTY DETENTION VOTER REGISTRATION SERVICES
Ending Felony Discrimination
Our case managers assist correctional and jail staff, inside the institution, with re-registering inmates to vote upon release.
